Badam Halwa

Badam Halwa is a rich and delicious Indian sweet made with pureed almonds, ghee, sugar and saffron. A delicacy rooted in Indian tradition, Badam Halwa is indispensable for celebrations of any kind.

Serves: 4

Cooking time: 60 min

Ingredients

  • Almonds - 500gm
  • Sugar - 500gm
  • Aashirvaad Svasti Pure Cow Ghee - 500gm
  • Milk - 300ml
  • Saffron - 0.5gm

Preparation

  • Boil the almonds for a few minutes. Then peel the skin.
  • Now Grind almonds along with milk to form a fine paste
  • In a kadai add the almond paste, sugar & cook for 30 minutes.
  • Add Aashirvaad Svasti Ghee and cook for another 5 minutes till the ghee is completely absorbed and the halwa starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  • You can also slice the halwa into small cubes.
  • Garnish with saffron and serve this delicious Indian sweet to your friends and family!
