Pumpkin Kheer

Delight your young ones with this Hyderabad special sweet recipe - Pumpkin kheer. It can be served hot or cold.

Ingredients
  • Peeled and grated pumpkin
    2 cups
  • Full fat milk
    2 ½ cup
  • Aashirvaad Svasti Pure Cow Ghee
    1 tbsp
  • Sugar
    5 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder
    1/3 tsp
  • Saffron strands
    5 to 6
  • Almonds
    5 to 6
  • Black Raisins
    8 to 10

Step 1

Squeeze out excess water from the grated pumpkin.

Step 2

Heat Aashirvaad Svasti Ghee in a kadai and add the grated pumpkin to it.

Step 3

Stir it over a low flame till all the moisture is absorbed. Now add milk and almonds, stir well and cook for around 8 to 10 min.

Step 4

Add sugar, saffron strands, cardamom powder and black raisins. Stir well

Step 5

Cook until mixture turns slightly thick.
