Semiya Payasam

Ingredients
  • Semiya/vermicelli
    ¾ cup
  • Sugar
    ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder
    1/8 tsp
  • Milk
    500 ml
  • Water
    200 ml
  • Aashirvaad Svasti Pure Cow Ghee
    2 tsp
  • Cashew nuts, pista and raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Heat Aashirvaad Svasti Ghee in a pan. Add cashews, pista and raisins and fry till golden. Keep aside.

Step 2

Now roast the semiya in the same pan till slightly golden. Set aside.

Step 3

Add milk and water to the pan and allow it to boil on a low flame. Now add the semiya to the boiling milk and keep stirring.

Step 4

Add sugar and cardamom powder and stir. Cook the mixture for 3-5 minutes on a low flame till the semiya payasam thickens.

Step 5

Garnish with cashews and raisins and serve.
